HOW IS ODD HOURS USED?
Odd Hours focusses on helping you easily maximize your billable hours.
Start logging billable time by selecting a project from the list of active projects. If you see a green background you are billing somebody.
When you change to a different project (by picking it from the list) the first is saved and the clock starts on the second project.
To turn the timer off, simply select the blank project from the list.

There are 4 pages in the system, reflected by navigation tabs: Projects, Labor, Expenses, and Invoices.
You may filter detail and see subtotals.
In the Labor example above we are looking at labor over a 3-day period. 12:55 hours were worked for a payable amount of $ 1,314.33.
If the Group is changed to "Date, Project" the detail rolls up and we can see
a subtotal of what was worked on each day on each project.
The hours and payable are summed when grouping.
We can also drill down into the detail of a specific line with a click.

Under normal circumstances invoices are created with a single button click.
The appropriate project, labor and expense data is automatically moved into the invoices.
The invoice date defaults to the current day and the invoice number is calculated. Print and mail.

WHY ODD HOURS?
In our business we bill clients based on the time we spend working on their projects,
similar to many contractors, attorneys or CPAs.
We accrue billable hours and minutes on many projects
and then invoice the clients for the time (and associated expenses).
We needed an easy way to track all of our billable time and generate invoices for many projects.
Manual timecards are unreliable and time consuming. Most automated time tracking systems are based on
tasks or are part of a fancy project management or accounting system.
This was not our problem; simply making sure that we track and invoice all our billable time is.
We looked around and couldn't find anything quite right or cheap enough for us so we built Odd Hours.
WHAT ARE SOME FEATURES?
It is available on any computer with an internet browser. Anywhere, any time zone.
You can travel between timezones and it'll keep working right.
The timer starts billing a project by simply selecting the project name from a list.
It filters and groups for a wide variety of on-screen totals.
It prevents double-billing.
Time is logged by the minute.
It automatically creates invoices based on a project's recent labor and expenses.
Invoices can be edited to temporarily hold back selected charges.
Allows for different bill and pay rates.
It utilizes your browser's font and full screen size.
Easy grouping, drill-down, and regrouping.
It's free.
This is a working prototype of Odd Hours. It works, but there are some rough spots like:

Depending on how this stripped-down single user prototype is received
we may sell the premium multiuser version that has some extra features.

so it is also advertising for our core business.
We will never sell any of your information to anyone. Ever.

We are decent folks and our only requirement of you is that you be nice too.
